With Luca Piovesan on accordion and Maarten Stragier on the guitar, Promenade Sauvage is an unusual duo with extraordinary sonic reach. At the heart of their endeavor lies an unyielding commitment to sharing the creative energy of a fresh musical generation. Promenade Sauvage’s projects are built on close collaborations with talented young composers. The music they play is tailored to the duo in an invigorating exchange of ideas, and rehearsed with extreme dedication.

Promenade Sauvage has performed at festivals such as Music@VillaRomana (Florence), Sound of Wander (Milan), Composit (Rieti), and Boston Guitarfest. In addition, Piovesan’s and Stragier’s individual performance experiences includes collaborations with Ensemble Intercontemporain, Ictus, Plus Minus, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, and Neue Vocalsolisten; and performances at Donaueschinger Musiktage, Lucerne Festival, Festival d’Automne, Tanglewood, Teatro la Fenice, Teatro Massimo, Tokyo Opera City Hall, and Bozar.
